Carpet cleaning and maintenance tips - Carpets should be vacuumed once a week
The carpet has many advantages, such as good elasticity, beauty, sound absorption, etc. Although the biggest disadvantage of carpet is that it is a bit troublesome to take care of, as long as the dust is cleaned in time and properly maintained, the service life of the carpet is still quite long.
Carpet decontamination tips
(1) Dirt such as tea, coffee, soy sauce or beer: You can use carpet-specific cleaning solution, borax solution or detergents, and brush it repeatedly with a brush to remove it, and then clean it with clean water.
(2) Tomato sauce, sauce and other viscous substances: You can use objects with strong water absorption such as napkins to absorb and remove the stains, and then use a brush to clean them repeatedly and wash them with a clean water.
(3) Egg white, milk, ice cream and other fat objects: first wash with warm water and washing solution, and then use a special volatile oil removal agent to remove fat. Reminder: You cannot use hot water. Because proteins are easily cured when heated, they are not easy to remove stains, and they will also deform the carpet.
The carpet should be vacuumed once a week
(1) Take 600 grams of flour, 100 grams of essence, talc powder, and 100 grams, mix it with water, and add 30 ml of white wine. First heat the mixture, mix into paste, cool down and cut into pieces and spread evenly on the carpet, then wipe it with a dry brush and velvet cloth to remove stains.
(2) Sprinkle extremely fine salt on the carpet, and add a broom cooked in soapy water to the carpet to remove dust from the carpet and have a shiny look.
(3) If you don’t have a vacuum cleaner at home, you can take a piece of old cloth or sheet, soak it in water and wring it dry, spread it on the carpet, and then repeatedly knock it with a wooden stick to make the dust absorb on the damp old cloth to achieve the purpose of decontamination.
(4) Use boiling water to dissolve the neutral soap liquid and add 1 tablespoon of borax. After the temperature drops to 60℃, put the carpet in and soak for 3-4 hours, then take it into warm water at 40-50℃ and gently rub it. Finally, rinse it with warm water. If there is any contaminated area that is not clean, use a small brush to dip the bath detergent solution and gently brush it.
Daily maintenance of carpet
When the legs of the furniture come into contact with the carpet, a cushion layer should be placed or the furniture should be moved frequently; for severely worn parts, in addition to protecting them with coverings, they can also be used in a position. Since dust is easily accumulated in the surface fibers of the carpet, the best way is to frequently use a vacuum cleaner to vacuum along the hair direction, so that the carpet can be kept clean.
Experts recommend that carpets be vacuumed once a week. Current vacuum cleaners include three types: pure suction, tap rod type and bristle type, which are suitable for carpets with tight stuffing; while terry carpets can only use vacuum cleaners with suction function. In addition, the last push when using the vacuum cleaner should be in the direction of the stuffing.
It is worth noting that when cleaning, do not use tooth-shaped or rough edges, as this will damage the fibers of the carpet surface. If there is hair on the carpet, you need to wipe it with a clean towel soaked in hot water, comb it straightened with a comb, and iron it with a wet cloth to iron it down to the original state.
