The hot summer is the peak season for pets to hurt people. On the one hand, dogs have a more irritable temper in high temperatures; on the other hand, people wear less clothes and their limbs are exposed. Once they come into contact with the dog, they are easily bitten. Therefore, it is crucial to inject rabies vaccine into your pet.

1. Under what circumstances can pets not be vaccinated with rabies?

1. Under 3 months old

2. Newly bought it but has not adapted to the environment

3. It is in the onset and fever period

4. It has just undergone a major surgery and is in the recovery period

The most effective way to prevent rabies is to immunize according to the immune procedure. Injecting pets with rabies vaccination is not something you want to get whenever you want, but you should vaccinate your pets in a timely and effective manner.

For pets, if they are less than 3 months old, or have not yet adapted to the environment, are in the onset and fever period, or have just undergone major surgery and are in the recovery period, injection of rabies vaccine will not only directly affect the body's immune effect, but also cause death due to emergency responses, which will worsen the condition or cause other diseases. Therefore, in these four situations, pets cannot be injected with rabies vaccine.

2. What should dogs pay attention to after getting vaccinated?

1. Observe for 20 to 30 minutes after getting the vaccine. You should not leave immediately. The vaccine may have allergies. Although the probability is very low, it may still occur. If the body itching and facial swelling occurs, you need to get a desensitization injection. Therefore, you need to observe in the pet hospital for half an hour after the vaccine to ensure you leave after you have nothing to do. If there are adverse reactions in the short term, you must seek medical treatment in time.

2. Dogs should not be bathed, changed environment or food within a week, because the body's immunity will first decrease and then increase during the period after the vaccination. To keep your pet healthy, do not bathe the dog, change the environment or food, or take it out for fun within one week after the injection. It is generally recommended to take it out for a walk after being completely immune.

3. It is prohibited to take antibiotics, antibiotics and other drugs within three days. Within three days after the vaccination, if you take antibiotics, antibiotics and other drugs orally, it may also lead to immune failure.

4. After the dog is vaccinated, it may have drug reactions such as anorexia.

It is normal for dogs to experience increased body temperature, depression, decreased appetite, pain and other problems. Generally, it will be fine in about 2 hours. If anorexia really occurs for more than 2 hours, the injected medicine should stimulate the dog's stomach and intestines. You can feed probiotics to regulate the stomach and intestines.
