Why do some pets experience excessive itching and licking after eating certain foods? Or vomiting and diarrhea? It's probably because of food allergies.

1. What is food allergies?

Food allergies are not the fact that after the substances in the body enter the body, the body's own immune mechanism will come out to stop it after it is discovered. The reaction level is a bit too extreme, which causes other unnecessary damage.  

2. Confused food allergy

Pets are allergic to food, mainly to certain elements (some) in a certain food, or to certain elements (multiple) in a certain food. That is to say, any food that contains this food and those that contain this food will cause allergies to pets. Then when choosing food for it, you should pay special attention. Not only can one ingredient not be selected, but any food containing that ingredient cannot be selected. For example, if a pet dog is allergic to beef ingredients, then all foods containing beef will cause food allergies. Even a grain containing beef ingredients called "chicken vegetables" will cause food allergies, because the main ingredients of the grain "chicken vegetables" are listed in sequence, indicating that the dog food of this "chicken vegetables" contains "beef" ingredients.

In addition, there are not necessarily one type of foods that are allergic to pets, but probably two or more. Some pet dogs or cats are allergic to beef and are also allergic to fish. This is the real reason why 278 pet dogs participated in the test in the animal allergy test that shocked the entire pet food industry, but found that there were 286 cases of allergic manifestations.

Moreover, pets have new or evolved in the growth process of pets. For example, some pets have been tested and found that beef is the culprit of its allergies. At that time, it was not discovered that dairy products would also cause its allergies, but this does not mean that it will always be not allergic to dairy products and may become new allergic foods in a certain growth process in the future.

3. List of evil people who cause food allergies

The food ingredients of pets are diverse and dazzling. Which of them are more likely to cause pet allergies?

An animal study experiment on pet food allergy has obtained a very clear answer: the research experiment analyzed the ingredients of food allergic induced by 278 allergic pet dogs, and found that beef was the biggest culprit of food allergies so far (95 cases), followed by dairy products (55 cases), wheat ranked third (42 cases), and soybeans and corn were 13 and 7 cases respectively.

Overall, 231 pet dogs are caused by beef, dairy, chicken, mutton, soybeans, pork, and fish, and only 54 are caused by wheat, corn, and rice. This conclusion also positively dispels the rumor that "cereals are prone to allergies" that have been widely circulated in the pet food industry.

4. What should I do?

The only option that can prevent and treat pet food allergies is to "avoid eating food that causes it to be allergic to food." Despite this, it is still impossible to guarantee that new food sources of allergic food will be discovered in the future. Moreover, any food targeting different individuals can lead to food allergies.
