According to TyC Sports reports, Lisandro is close to returning to the game and will continue to resume training with Argentina.

It is reported that Lisandro is getting closer to returning to the game after suffering a serious knee injury. Although he has yet to return to action at Manchester United, the defender will head to the Argentina national team training camp to train with his teammates and begin to reintegrate into the national team.

Lisandro has always been a regular on coach Scaloni's national team list. As the 2026 World Cup approaches, he has begun preparations to return to the national team. Currently, Argentina's candidates for the central defender position include Romero, Otamendi, Marcos Senesi and Juan Foyth.

Lisandro tore the anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee in the Premier League match against Crystal Palace in February this year. After months of recovery, he returned to United's Carrington training center a few weeks ago and was given a warm welcome by the first-team squad.
