Tottenham Hotspur official: Dan Lewington appointed as club performance director, joining from City Football Group

Official news from Tottenham Hotspur Club, appointing Dan Lewington as the new performance director.

Dan Lewington will join from City Football Group, where he is currently serving his notice period, and will be responsible for the medical, sports science, nutrition and psychology departments of Tottenham's men's, women's and youth academies.

Dan Lewington graduated from the University of Nottingham and qualified as a physiotherapist. He first worked in the British NHS and then moved into the sports field. He initially served as the chief physiotherapist of the Northampton Saints rugby team, and then served as a senior physiotherapist in the England Rugby Football Union for seven years.

He subsequently moved to the British Lawn Tennis Association, where he served as director of high performance science and medicine for six years, and in August 2022 joined City Football Group as director of player health and performance, working across its global club network.
