Premier League CEO Richard Masters criticized FIFA for not conducting full consultation with the Premier League when formulating the club's World Cup schedule.

He said: "In the final solution, you can feel the voice of the Premier League and the European League, but it is not the case with the club World Cup. The league and the players have not been consulted for the schedule of the match. No matter how the club World Cup changes in the future, we want to be fully negotiated."

Masters also questioned why FIFA went deep into the field of club football: "I don't want a situation where players have to choose between which games they have to participate in, because I think it will take football in the wrong direction. Obviously, FIFA's task is to supervise global football and manage international events, and the club World Cup is a step into the field of club football."

At the same time, Masters denied the idea of bringing Premier League games to the United States. Currently, there are 11 teams in the Premier League owned by Americans, but Masters is firm in this regard: "We are very clear that the Premier League has no plans to host games abroad. We will not discuss this issue. Our goal is to develop the league internationally, and in the past decade, the Premier League has achieved significant growth worldwide. All data shows that the Premier League can achieve international growth without hosting games abroad."

When asked by the Daily Mail whether he would consider resigning if he lost a lawsuit with Manchester City about financial rules violations, Masters expressed his unwillingness to speculate on the outcome of the case: You asked me to speculate on the outcome of the case, I would not do so. That's all I can say. ”
