The Daily Mail reported that since Leo Ferdinand resigned from TNT Sports, the community shield game between Crystal Palace and Liverpool will be replaced by Crystal Palace legend Joel Ward.

Ferdinand served as a commentator for TNT Sports (formerly BT Sports) for ten years, but announced his resignation in May this year to focus on his business. Premier League champion Liverpool will face FA Cup champion Crystal Palace at Wembley tonight, and the game will be exclusively broadcast by TNT Sports.

It is disclosed that TNT Sports has invited Crystal Palace meritorious player Joel Ward as commentator of this game. The defender has become a free agent after ending his 13-year Crystal Palace career this summer. Ward will deeply analyze the preparations for the Glasner team in the new season. During his career, he played 364 games for Crystal Palace, and personally experienced the team's success in the Super League in 2013. Although he did not play in the FA Cup final last season, he still won the cup with Guy. The commentary team also includes Steve McManaman, Joe Cole, Farah Williams and Antonio, who has just left West Ham.
