Vice Premier Yan Jinyong visits the United States from July 20 to 26

The statement said: "This visit will consolidate and strengthen a strong and multifaceted partnership between Singapore and the United States, including our substantial and mutually beneficial economic and commercial relations."

The Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry said on Friday (July 18) that Yan Jinyong will visit New York on July 21, and then visit Washington, DC from July 22 to 26.

During the visit, Yan Jinyong will meet with US cabinet ministers, members of Congress, and representatives of the business and private sectors. In addition, Yan Jinyong will also attend a business roundtable hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce to discuss international and regional economic development, as well as future cooperation opportunities for American and Singaporean companies.

Also accompanying Yan Jinyong on his visit to the United States are officials from the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

The Ministry of Trade and Industry said: "Our growing cooperation in emerging fields such as science and technology and energy complements the strong ties between the two countries in defense, security and people."

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade and Industry Yan Jinyong will visit the United States from July 20 to 26, 2025 to consolidate and strengthen the multi-faceted partnership between the two countries.

Singapore and the United States are important trade and investment partners. In 2024, the United States is Singapore's second largest trading partner, and Singapore is the United States' 16th largest trading partner. Singapore is the third largest Asian investor in the United States, with more than 250 companies in 45 states in the United States.
